About Charles WardCharles Ward has been an entrepreneur in the luxury marketing and communications industry for over 30 years. His 29-year-old company, Idea Works, Inc., consults on marketing communications, sports sponsorship, and strategic alliances with a specialty in Wealth Marketing.

In the past seven years, Idea Works, Inc. has contracted to represent the leading polo clubs in the US in designing sponsorship programs.

In 2005 Idea Works’ client Bombardier was named the Outstanding Corporate Sponsor of the Year by Polo Player’s Edition magazine, the publication for US polo players.

Earlier Mr. Ward's Honolulu office completed a four-year marketing assignment of economic and tourism development in the United States and Asia for the State of Hawaii, named Hawaii, The Pacific Link.

In 1984, Mr. Ward opened a branch office in La Jolla, California and assembled the marketing team for Stars & Stripes, Dennis Conner's 1987 America's Cup victorious yacht racing campaign.

He coordinated the 1987 America's Cup victory celebration including a reception at the White House with President Ronald Reagan and a ticker tape parade down Fifth Avenue in New York City sponsored by Donald Trump.

He has also served as a co-founding director of Capitol City Savings, a regional financial institution, and served on the board of directors of the Insurance Corporation of America, a national medical liability insurance company.

While a journalism student at the University of Texas, he was appointed anchorman at KTBC Television in Austin, Texas, where he started his broadcasting and media career.
